1999: My Trip to the Philippines

In March of 1999, my family traveled half way around the world from our homes in St. Louis, MO to built homes for people in the Philippines. We worked for a week with Habitat For Humanity, an organization which builds houses for homeless families. On the way to the Philippines, we traveled through Japan and Taiwan. I wrote the Japanese word for "home" next to the English word on this journal page. -K
